creative majlis® Welcome to Creative Majlis, a meeting point for creative people from around the world pooling in their talent voluntarily for social change. What brings Creative Majlis together? A common urge. The heartfelt wish and ambition to use our talents, skills, expertise to make a positive difference in our communities. Who moderates the Majlis? The founding members of the group, Farrukh & Mayura. Who owns it? Every member of this Creative Majlis owns it - the moderators, well, moderate the efforts. Do I have to be a creative professional to join? You don't have to be creative professional to join. Our membership is free and open to everyone around the world who would like to exchange ideas and devote time to making a difference to the world with whatever talent, skills and resources he or she has. Is anyone really interested in such a thing? You bet! Our membership is rising like a storm. We have crossed the 100-member mark within a couple of months of our launch on Ryze. Who are the kind of people I'll meet at the Majlis? We have such an interesting mix of talent and skills that inspiration and ideas are bound to flow boundlessly - copywriters, graphic designers, art directors, web wizards, artists, singers, musicians, event managers, architects, poets, software pros, journalists, photographers, film makers, radio producers - and of course so many members willing to help in any way they can even though they are not in artistic professions. Sounds too good to be true. Are you guys for real? Yes, we are. Below is a glimpse of our first meeting in the classy BurJuman Centre in the heart of Dubai:
